If Tillerson called me a moron, 'we'll have to compare IQ tests'

President Donald Trump has challenged his secretary of state to compare intelligence IQ tests, suggesting he would score higher than Rex Tillerson amid reports that he called the president a "moron".

Looked upon as the highest profile member of the Trump cabinet, USA media reports that Tillerson's relationship with Trump is now at "breaking point".

As if things couldn't get any more surprising or simply odd, remarks made by President Trump in an interview published today by Forbes, has taken "odd" to a whole new level.

NBC News said Tillerson's "moron" comment followed a meeting on Afghanistan in which Trump compared "the decision-making process on troop levels to the renovation of a high-end NY restaurant".

"I think it's fake news", said Trump of the reported "moron" quip.

After the story about Tillerson insulting the president broke, Republican Senator Bob Corker, Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, came to the secretary of state's defense.

"The secretary does not use that type of language", State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said last week. In his tweet, Trump charged that Democrats "don't care about safety for U.S.A".

"I'm not undermining", Trump said.
