1000 leads later, authorities still stumped by Vegas gunman

Tuesday on Nevada public radio, Undersheriff Kevin McMahill tried to clarify the shift in timeline provided by police, but only raised more questions when he said that a maintenance worker was also on the 32nd floor when Stephen Paddock fired the first shots.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo on Monday changed the timeline, telling reporters that a hotel security guard was shot just before 10 p.m. October 1, and that shooter Stephen Paddock then spent 10 minutes shooting into a concert crowd before killing himself.

More than a week after the deadliest mass shooting in modern USA history, investigators are still stumped about what led high-stakes gambler Paddock to carry out his horrific attack.

"As soon as they stopped, I saw Jesus pop out....he yelled at me to take cover", Schuck said.

"This remains an ongoing investigation with a lot of moving parts", MGM Resorts spokesperson Debra DeShong said in the statement.

"We can not be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publically (sic), and we believe what is now being expressed may not be accurate", said MGM Resorts spokesperson Debra DeShong. "We believe what is now being expressed may not be accurate".

With their stock price now trading around $987.20, the firm has proven a solid track record of growth over the past few years. State Treasurer State Of Michigan invested in 1.25% or 171,202 shares. 112 funds opened positions while 587 raised stakes.

The FBI and Las Vegas police have sorted through more than a thousand leads and examined Stephen Paddock's politics, finances and social behavior.

"Our officers got there as fast as they possibly could and they did what they were trained to do", Las Vegas assistant sheriff Todd Fasulo said earlier Tuesday. While on the 32nd floor, he found that a stairwell door was jammed and radioed down to maintenance.

It was unclear if the hotel relayed the information to Las Vegas police, who did not respond to questions from The Associated Press about whether hotel security or anyone else in the hotel called 911 to report the gunfire.

Lombardo revised the timeline during a news conference Monday.

Police did not know Campos was shot until they met him in the hallway of the 32nd floor after getting off the elevator, Lombardo said.

"There absolutely was an opportunity in that timeframe that some of this could've been mitigated", he said. The bullets are meant to ignite whatever they hit in what officials say was a possible attempt by the shooter to cause an explosion; some of those rounds (also referred to as "tracer" bullets) were found in Paddock's room as well as near a fuel tank near McCarran. Rather than rush in without a game plan, police would have been formulating the best response to the barricaded gunman, he said.

Analytical Report on Express Scripts Holding Company (ESRX)
Investors analyze price earnings ratio (P/E) ratio that helps how much they should pay for a stock based on its current earnings. It dived, as 25 investors sold AGO shares while 106 reduced holdings. 70 funds opened positions while 222 raised stakes.

But although most killers may want to take credit for their act, Paddock might have reveled in the riddle he's presented for investigators, Van Zandt said.

"Maybe that's enough time to get the first patrolman onto the floor but the first patrolman is not going to go knock on that customer's door and say 'What's going on with 200 holes in the door?'" Hosko said.

Despite the traumatic event, Schuck said he plans to return to work at the hotel.

"In coordination with the FBI's behavioral analysis unit, a comprehensive picture is being drawn as to the suspect's mental state and now we do not believe there is one particular event in the suspect's life for us to key on", Lombardo said.

"Instead of a eureka moment, I think what investigators are doing is they're putting an ounce of information at a time on the scale", he said.
