Syria terrorists 'operate near United States forces,' Russian military wants explanations

Russian Federation accused the United States on Wednesday of allowing Daish to operate "under its nose" in Syria, saying Washington was letting the militant group move about freely in an area abutting a U.S. military base.

Once the Sukhnah-Deir ez-Zor Highway is fully liberated, the Syrian Army can turn their attention to the remaining areas inside the provincial capital that are occupied by IS.

Russia's Aerospace Forces carry out up to 150 strikes per day on the forces joining the Islamic State militants near Mayadeen in Syria's Deir ez-Zor Governorate, he said.

The United States says the Tanf facility is a temporary base used to train partner forces to fight against Daish.

"Considering such significant reinforcement in terms of personnel and supplements, at the US' tacit approval, one does not have to be an expert to forecast an attempt to derail the truce in the southern de-escalation zone", he said.

The spokesman underscored the USA would exclusively bear all the responsibility for sabotaging the peace process in Syria.
