OH boy missing from crime scene believed to be in danger

Authorities in Lawrence County, Ohio, continue to search for a man and child who are missing in the aftermath of a triple homicide in the county.

The Lawrence County sheriff's office and the state attorney general's office wouldn't immediately confirm Thursday whether Devin Holston was found safe.

He had been missing following a shooting at a trailer on State Route 93 Tuesday evening. The victim had stab wounds to the neck and head and was taken to the hospital.

The Ohio Attorney General's Office has canceled the Endangered Missing Child Advisory for an 8-year-old child in southern Ohio. Deputies lost Lawson in a wooded area. After an extensive search of the area that included surrounding houses and woods, Holston was officially entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing endangered child.

Investigators are searching for Aaron Lawson, 23, as a person of interest.

Lawson was spotted by deputies on State Route 141, driving a Blue Chevy truck, early Thursday morning. In the course of the pursuit, Lawson crashed into a ditch and fled on foot, according to the release.

"The names of the victims are not being released at this time pending positive identification and notification of next of kin", the sheriff said.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Lawson is urged to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office at 740-532-3525. He was last seen not far from the crime scene.

The Category 1 storm now poses no threat to land, forecasters said, and no watches or warnings have been issued. Hurricane-force winds extend out 25 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend out 70 miles.

The youngster, Devin Holston, lived at the second residence, but has since been found.

Lawson is described as being 5-feet-9-inches tall, 139 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

The incident started at about 7:22 p.m. when the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office was called to a residence at 15497 SR 93 in Pedro.
