'Garbage': Michael Jordan hits out at worrying National Basketball Association trend

Jordan recently talked about a variety of topics with Marvin R. Shanken for the Cigar Aficionado - which is exactly what Jordan is - and Jordan was asked about what he thought of where his friend Tiger Woods is in his life right now.

In an interview with Cigar Aficionado - apparently the GOAT smokes six cigars a day - Jordan said he thinks concentrating the league's talent on a couple of teams has hurt the National Basketball Association from a competitive standpoint.

"That's more for stories and hype", Jordan told the magazine.

"He's in a transitional period; we athletes, we go through that", Jordan said. He's in a very unique situation. Tiger played in his peak somewhere towards the end of my career. What changed between that timeframe to now - social media, Twitter, all those types of things that have invaded the personality and personal time of individuals. We've talked. I'm a big fan. "I couldn't have made everybody (else) in the West better". I think you're going to see these things have a way of working themselves out over time. Like, am I the reason that they're not that good (laughs)? "And if he didn't do it, there's no telling where my emotions would be".
