The promotion announced today that ex-welterweight champ Robbie Lawler (28-11 MMA, 13-5 UFC) will take on ex-lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos (27-9 MMA, 16-7 UFC), who seeks to win a belt at 170 pounds after joining the division earlier this year. Standing in his way is another former world champion looking to cement his own place at the top of the division.

UFC on Fox 26, which goes down on December 16 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, now has a headliner - and it is absolute dynamite.

Lawler recently got back in the win column after a high-profile setback, outpointing Donald Cerrone in July at UFC 214.

Bharti Airtel to merge with Tata telecom business
Tata Group has the appetite to absorb some employees in Tata Communication , Tata Sky and their other operating companies too. In return, Airtel will have to assume only a small portion of the unpaid spectrum liability of Tata.

The fight for Lawler, now ranked as the No. 1 contender to Woodley's throne, will be just his second since losing the belt. He is now 6-1 over his last seven including wins vs. Carlos Condit, Rory MacDonald and Johny Hendricks. The 32-year-old also topped Tarec Saffiedine via unanimous decision back in June. Both Lawler and dos Anjos possess knockout power and is a main event that is as solid as they come as far as Fight Nights go.

Dos Anjos promised to make his fight with Woodley (18-3-1 MMA, 8-2-1 UFC) an entertaining one by pushing the action.

Since moving up, dos Anjos is 2-0, including a one-sided submission victory over Neil Magny at UFC 215 last month. This news was announced by the UFC on Thursday morning.
