Now You Can Order Food Through the Facebook App


Look for your dining options by going to the Explore menu (the three-line hamburger menu on the lower right corner of the screen on the app) or on and choosing the Order Food option.

By tapping on a restaurant profile, you can find out if any of your Facebook friends have rated or visited it, helping you make a decision if you're on the fence about where to order.

If the restaurant you want to order from offers takeout or delivery with multiple services, you can select which service you'd like to use. All Facebook is really doing here is launching an in-app browser so you can get a meal without ever leaving the app.

A year back, the company has said its USA users would be able to order food through a restaurants' Facebook page.

Facebook has been working on the new product for a year, and carried out tests with restaurants including Papa John's (PZZA). There's certainly some work necessary to link all these restaurant pages with the services they use (and businesses can opt out of displaying the food ordering feature if they wish).
