Google Maps introduced the ability to "visit" planets of the Solar system


Explore Venus and other objects in the solar system in Google Maps.

"For extra fun, try zooming out from the Earth until you are in space!"

Google Maps has now added to its line-up imagery of Pluto, Venus and several moons - a total of 16 celestial bodies.

The heavenly bodies include Saturn moons Dione, Enceladus, Iapetus, Mimas, Rhea and Titan, and Jupiter moons Europa, Ganymede and Io.

Maps was already offering its users a closer and very detailed look at another planet besides our own, Mars, as well as at Earth's natural satellite, the Moon. Just recently, this was added to the Google Street View program, after agreeing to join the program.
