Lena Headey says Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed her

Weinstein, 65, faces rape allegations made by Hollyoaks star Lysette Anthony and two further women who claim they were attacked in London between 2010 and 2015.

Despite being fired as chairman of The Weinstein Company studio on 8 October he had continued until Tuesday to hold a position on the company's board.

It has emerged that Weinstein now faces Oscars exile as the organisation behind the film awards voted to expel him.

Headey included in her tweets a swipe at director Terry Gilliam, who oversaw her in the 2005 "The Brothers Grimm" flick - although not for sexual harassment.

The producer, she said, did not take her statement well.

After Weinstein suggested that they head to his hotel room, Headey says, she could immediately feel that the "energy [had] shifted". "I had such a strong sense of don't come near me".

Hero Las Vegas security guard 'vanished' after dodging news media
Authorities have not lost track of Campos, aren't concerned about his location and don't believe he is in danger, Hadfield said. There are also signs reading "No media on property" and "No trespassing" outside Campos's home.

"He was silent after I spoke, furious".

She said he then forcefully escorted her back down to her vehicle with an arm tight on her back, making her feel "powerless".

She added, "He paid for my vehicle and whispered in my ear: 'Don't tell anyone about this, not your manager, not your agent.' I got into my auto and cried".

But soon, Headey says, he dropped the pretense of this being a business meeting.

"The first time I met Harvey Weinstein was at The Venice Film Festival", begins Headey's post.

"After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet", the star of Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle told the Los Angeles audience.

Over breakfast, the actress recalled talking "about films, film making". "I was never in any other Miramax films". "You, the big producers; you, the big directors; you, the big agents; you, the big financiers". He came back and said, 'Let's go up to the room, I want to give you a script'. "And for that, once again, I am sorry".

Coming after the New York Times and the New Yorker published separate exposes about Weinstein allegedly sexually harassing and assaulting women for decades without outcome, Headey's story is depressingly familiar.

Years later, Headey agreed to meet with Weinstein again for what she assumed to be a work-related breakfast. Please don't think I got in here with your for any other reason.

Weinstein then ordered her to keep quiet about what had happened.

The actress says that she never appeared in another Miramax film following the encounter, and assumed for years that she'd be in the clear after having shut him down so swiftly.
