It was rumored that Marvel was going to reveal the premiere date during the show's New York Comic-Con panel earlier this month, but the panel was cancelled in the wake of the deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas that left over 50 people dead. Unlike Marvel and Netflix's other series, including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil, The Punisher won't be set in just New York City.

It's coming on November 17, and Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming vigilante series.

The character of Frank Castle/The Punisher will be played by Jon Bernthal who also starred in The Walking Dead. Although a report circulated that Netflix would delay the premiere of The Punisher, the company hadn't announced a date to begin with. We understand that there is a contingent of people out there who may feel that it's wrong to punish a fictionalized series because of some frightful stuff that happened in the real world, but sometimes you do have to be sensitive to what's happening out there in the real world and how close The Punisher may at times mirror things that are very real and violent.

The Punisher arrives Friday, Nov. 17 on Netflix.

Ultimately, the trailer below is going to deliver to you much of what you wanted to see from the series. Fans who have been anxiously counting down the days until The Punisher Season 1 premieres on Netflix finally have a timetable for when to expect the show's first season to premiere - aka when they should plan on calling in "sick". Even if you're not a comic fan you're probably at least excited to see this series unfold.

To lose your starting point guard on opening night is a very tough draw for any team, regardless of expectations for the season. Losing Lin would mean increased responsibilities for the Nets' backups such as Caris Levert and Isaiah Whitehead.
