With regards to the latest engine from the stables of Royal Enfield, the 650cc parallel twin.

"Royal Enfield aims to lead and expand the mid weight (250 cc -750 cc) motorcycle segment globally". Is this really what's about to break cover? While the India-based company has been producing traditional 350/500cc singles ever since it became an India-based company (RE, of course, was founded in the United Kingdom), the new twin has been "designed to offer the right balance between power, torque and usability to ensure a smooth and approachable riding experience". The engines are created to cross 100 kmph or 160 kmph.

"The motorcycle is equipped with classic 18" front and rear Pirelli tyres and twin shock absorbers, along with front and rear disc brakes with ABS.

It was the Knicks' second straight victory in a game in which they had trailed by double-digits entering the fourth quarter. They are 6-1 against the spread over their last seven games and 5-1 in their last six versus Southeast Division opponents.

Royal Enfield plans to launch the 650 twins in Europe in April 2018 to begin with (if the motorcycle is production-ready by then) followed by an India launch once production is ramped up to appropriate levels. The Interceptor is more of an old-school roadster style motorcycle while the Continental GT 650 is the full-blown café racer as it was always.

Introducing the Interceptor INT 650, Siddhartha Lal, CEO, Royal Enfield, said: "The Interceptor INT 650 carries forward the Royal Enfield legacy into the 21st century". The motorcycle retains its central cafe racer character while bringing in new engineering and design improvements. The engine reveal was done at Royal Enfield's UK Technical Center at Bruntingthorpe, near Leicester in UK.

From the initial looks, this upcoming motorcycle seems to have taken its inspiration from the Royal Enfield Continental GT. It is to be noted that Royal Enfield used to sell an Interceptor twin cylinder motorcycle in the European markets during the 1960-1970 period and this could be the reintroduction of the same "Legend".
