AMD Loses Raja Koduri To Intel

News broke yesterday that AMD's Raja Koduri would be leaving the company after a brief sabbatical.

Intel has confirmed that the previous AMD Radeon Head Raja Koduri has indeed jumped ship.

A few days ago Intel announced it had collaborated with AMD on their new Kaby Lake G processor, with Radeon RX Vega GPU tech inside joined by 4GB of HBM2.

New Hitman in the Works
This is our way of showing our fans and players that we appreciate your continued support and love for our HITMAN 2016 game. After months of hints and speculation , IO Interactive has confirmed that another full-scale Hitman game is in production.

Intel today announced the appointment of Raja Koduri as Intel chief architect, senior vice president of the newly formed Core and Visual Computing Group, and general manager of a new initiative to drive edge computing solutions. He resigned last week during a leave of absence and has now been hired as the chief architect at Intel.

Intel's current GPU line is pretty limited. Intel CPUs have long had integrated graphics chips (iGPUs), but this would be the first time since the cancelled "Larrabee" project in 2009/2010 that the company has dabbled in discrete cards.

On the topic of the Koduri's remit at Intel, you can probably guess his functions from his job title (s). "He also leads differentiated IP across computing, graphics, media, imaging and machine intelligence capabilities for the client and data centre segments, artificial intelligence, and emerging opportunities like edge computing". Intel's new visual computing chief architect will officially start in his new role in December.

DIG Hamid Shakeel martyred in Quetta blast
According to the Geo news, the Quetta SSP operations said, three police officials were killed after their convoy was attacked. Security officials, including the Bomb Disposal Squad, cordoned off the area and began investigating the nature of the blast.

Intel is forming a new Core and Visual Computing Group that Koduri will be leading, with the stated intent being to unify the company's efforts with graphics chips across its full range of products. "We believe the growing/broadening market for GPUs offers a CPU-complimentary market that Intel should be well positioned to address, said Ross Seymore, a financial analyst at Deutsche Bank".

AMD, for its part, said this week that Koduri's departure will not impact the company's plans for its graphics business or its strategic direction.

"Raja is one of the most experienced, innovative and respected graphics and system architecture visionaries in the industry and the latest example of top technical talent to join Intel", said Murthy Renduchintala, Intel's chief engineering officer and a group president, in a statement. In Koduri's words, it's an "opportunity to drive a unified architecture vision across [Intel's] world-leading IP portfolio that helps accelerate the data revolution".
