Flipkart Billion Capture Plus Smartphone Launched at ₹10999

Flipkart, India's largest e-commerce platform, today launched its first "Made For India" smartphone - Billion Capture+.

Billion Capture+ smartphone will be priced at ₹ 10,999 for 3 GB RAM model with 32 GB storage and Rs 12,999 for 4 GB RAM variant with 64 GB inbuilt storage.

The new, so-called Made for India smartphone called Billion Capture+ will go on sale on Flipkart on November 15. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor mated with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM/4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage which can be further extended upto 128GB via microSD card.

The attraction of Billion Capture+ smartphone is the addition of Android Nougat, which helps you to work all the latest features such as split-screen, improved multitasking and enhanced power saving mode via Doze. There are two 13 megapixel sensors at the back which helps in getting DSLR like bokeh effect.

The other top highlights are a 3500mAh battery and unlimited cloud storage. Flipkart, which is the leader in the crucial smartphone category, boasts of key partnerships with top phone brands such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo and Oppo, all of whom have competing products with Billion. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera.

The Eluga I5 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and comes pre-loaded with Panasonic's in-house developed AI assistant - ARBO. However, the company has kept its promise as the Panasonic Eluga I5 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 6,499.

Mint had first reported on June 15 that Bansal was developing Billion and that Flipkart may also offer a low-cost smartphone under the brand to compete with the likes of Xiaomi and Micromax. Billion Capture+ has similar configuration but with dual camera setup as an advantage. Flipkart claims that the battery will last for up to two days at a single charge. Flipkart says that it can offer up to 7 hours of battery life in 15 minutes of charging. Few true dual camera phones offer this combination of flagship features.

Commenting on the smartphone Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Flipkart Sachin Bansal says, "The Billion brand's products have always been backed by meticulous data-driven research and insight into Indian customers' needs".

To make sure the Capture+ owners get the best support even after buying the phone, the F1 Info Solutions, which is now owned by Flipkart, will provide the after-sales service for the phone.
