However, the company has kept its promise as the Panasonic Eluga I5 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 6,499. The phone backs up with 2500mAh of battery. With the Eluga A4, Panasonic is aiming to give a tough fight to other devices in the budget segment, including the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo K8 Plus, and also the Moto G5S.

Now, this latest Eluga I5 is coming to India, though, the launch date is not yet confirmed.

The Eluga I5 sports a metallic outer shell and features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved Asahi "Dragontrail" glass protection on top.

On the design front, the phone features an all-metal build which feels sturdy and durable. It is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor with 2GB RAM. Internal storage on the phone is 16GB of inbuilt and it is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.

In terms of the optics, the Eluga I5 has a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, five-piece lens and a f/2.2 aperture while the front-facing camera has a 5 MP sensor and three-piece lens.
