With Spacey facing numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, the 87-year-old Oscar victor will step into the role of billionaire oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, re-shooting scenes with the plan to keep the film's current release date of December 22.

Weeks after multiple men came forward accusing Spacey of sexual misconduct over the years, Scott announced he would be re-shooting several scenes in order to cut out the House of Cards star from the upcoming hostage-thriller. The actor is pleased with the role, sharing, "I'm fascinated by doing real people". "I'm used to big roles and lots of words".

CNN reported that eight current and former employees of House of Cards, who were not identified, alleged sexual misconduct against Spacey.
