Citing the letter, Belson reported Jones told Blank he was withdrawing the threat now that the committee "is receiving valuable feedback from a number of owners".

Beverley played 22 minutes in a loss to the New York Knicks after missing five games with a knee injury.

"He's probably going to be out a while", Clippers coach Doc Rivers told reporters in Atlanta, where the reeling team was to face the Hawks on Wednesday night, the fourth game of a five-game cross-country trip. The absence of Beverley, who L.A. acquired in the trade that sent Paul to the Rockets, isn't helping. With Beverley out, Sindarius Thornwell should continue to start for the time being, though once Milos Teodosic (foot) is cleared to play, it will be Teodosic's spot to lose moving forward.
