Margot Robbie Says Yet Another Harley Quinn Movie Is In The Works

Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn was undoubtedly the breakout character of last year's Suicide Squad, so it's unsurprising that the actor and Warner Bros. are developing a spinoff project for the character.

Now, in a new interview with MTV, Robbie says that there is yet another Harley Quinn movie in the works.

There may be as many as four separate Harley Quinn movies in development.

Pamela Anderson isn't backing down from comments blasting Harvey Weinstein's alleged victims
My message is consistent throughout- I'm a deep thinker / I have a unique perspective. and outcome is part of my life. I just don't agree with it all. "I'm trying to tell women as a survivor of childhood abuse myself", she wrote.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer remains tentatively attached to helm this all-Gotham bad girl team up, which would presumably co-star Catwoman and Poison Ivy, with the Joker also expected to appear.

"I want to see her with other women", Robbie explained. I kept saying when we were shooting Suicide Squad, 'She needs her girlfriends.

Coming out of Suicide Squad, there's wasn't an bad lot to salvage from David Ayer's muddled, CG-laden mess other than Harley Quinn, the scenery-chewing femme fatale brought to life by Margot Robbie. Directed by Gavin O'Connor, Suicide Squad 2 is now slated for a 2019 opening. The character has gained some serious traction in recent years, thanks to her solo comic series in the New 52 and Robbie's performance during Suicide Squad. "There's a lot going on right now", Robbie continued.

Russell Simmons apparel pulled from JC Penney stores following sexual misconduct allegations
He adds that hopefully these allegations are just allegations and "we can get to the truth". The embattled Simmons has since stepped down from his companies over the accusations.

Robbie's personal vision for Harley's next step is one that could fit either a solo movie or Gotham City Sirens, as it turns out. But the way she says it here, all of these projects, including this mysterious solo take, are in various stages of development and any one of them could come out before the others - which, you have to think, would help determine anything that followed. "She loves meeting people, any people, but she needs her girl gang". With doing (I, Tonya) as well - this is someone that everyone knows well and has already passed judgement on.

That's a lot of potential projects using the same characters over and over and now we can add one more to that growing list. Let us know your thoughts down below!
