American tourist killed in shark attack while diving in Costa Rica


Financier Rohina Bhandari was killed in a shark attack in Costa Rica on 30 November.

A 49-year-old Indian-origin woman equity manager based in NY was killed last week by a tiger shark while scuba diving on a remote Costa Rican island, according to media reports.

Bhandari was ascending to the surface at the Manuelita dive site when her 26-year-old diving guide noticed the shark, which he described as a female tiger shark.
