Micromax launches 'Canvas Infinity Pro' with dual-selfie cameras


Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro has been launched with a bezel-less display and dual selfie cameras. The pricing of the phone is certainly higher than the Rs. 9,999 Canvas Infinity, which raises the question is it worth the hike?

Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro is the latest addition to the company's newly-found Infinity series, which adds more value and recognition to its portfolio.

The Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro comes at a price tag of Rs 13,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting December 6 at midnight. Now, the Canvas Infinity Pro is the successor to that.

The Canvas Infinity Pro comes in 5.7 inch full vision display with 18.9 aspect ratio offering 1440×720 pixels resolutions.

Unlike its younger sibling, the Canvas Infinity Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Additionally, there is 64GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and 3000 mAh battery on-board.

Powering the phone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU. This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, and Micromax did not reveal any plans for Android Oreo upgrade.

With this improved camera arrangement on the front, the camera will now be able to capture Portrait Mode images that blur the background.

On the battery front, the Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro packs a 3000mAh backup. There is a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera which unlocks the device in 0.2 seconds.

Commenting on the launch, Shubhodhip Pal, Chief Operating Officer, Micromax Informatics said "We understand that in the mid-premium range smartphones, consumers demand a complete package - a smartphone that has best in class cameras, screen that is large enough for content viewing, battery that doesn't drain in a day and of course aesthetics that are head turner".
