Qualcomm makes the Snapdragon 845 processor official

At an event in Hawaii today, Qualcomm and Microsoft revealed that the popular Snapdragon line of processors - which run every flagship Android smartphone you've ever heard of - is coming to PCs.

Thankfully though, the HP Envy x2 has alleviated all of our concerns with its impeccably thin and ambitiously premium design. Qualcomm didn't disclose how much faster the Snapdragon 845 would be relative to this year's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835, but that chip was significantly faster than its predecessor when we tested it at the start of 2017 while consuming less power.
