Disney and Fox reportedly closing in on a deal

Disney intends to buy all media production (television and studio) assets for a reported $60 billion or more, while Fox will retain most sports and all news assets, according to CNBC.

The Murdoch family, which controls Fox, prefers a deal with Disney because it would rather be paid in Disney than Comcast stock, and expects a potential deal with Disney to be cleared by US antitrust regulators more easily, one of the sources said. "Fox is also talking with CNBC parent company Comcast, but the talks with Disney have progressed more significantly".

Mueller Subpoenas Trump's Financial Records From A German Bank
A source close to Deutsche Bank said the bank had run checks on Trump's financial dealings with Russian Federation . The bank has worked with Trump since the 1990s, long before the tycoon chose to enter politics as a candidate.

21st Century Fox declined to comment on the report to Fortune; Disney didn't immediately return a request for comment.

But it seems likely that-in the event of a deal-Murdoch would get a senior executive role at Disney no matter what. This new detail contradicts an earlier report, which suggested that Fox Sports properties would not be included.

Trump Travel Ban, Back in Action, Faces More Court Showdowns
But lawyers for the Trump administration argued that those restrictions were "dangerously flawed". It is yet to comment on the merits of the lawsuit filed against the Trump travel ban.

The news has us salivating at the possibilities of an X-men/Avengers crossover and having mutants in the Marvel tv shows would be pretty damn cool. The Fantastic Four could finally get done the right way; Captain America could hang out with Professor X. Iron Man could trade insults with Wolverine (if Hugh Jackman comes out of retirement). This means the new Star Wars films could include the iconic John Williams scores.

There is some worry that if Disney does acquire Fox, everything that Fox had and now owns would be Disneyfied, meaning it would be watered down. I'm sure more details of the deal will come out as soon as the deal is done.
