Director Bryan Singer has been fired from the documentary about Queen that stars Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. The X-Men franchise director failed to show up to work three days before 20 Century Fox halted production.
Fletcher (who last directed Eddie The Eagle) will pick up filming on the movie next week, with around two weeks' worth of photography left to complete.
All 2018 iPhones To Come With Notch And Face ID
CR described the latest iPhone model an "innovative device with a fantastic camera and lovely display", but average durability. But, if durability is a selling point for you, then you might want to consider the iPhone 8 over the more-expensive iPhone X .
There are two sides to every story and director Bryan Singer has come forth to reveal his following his firing from Bohemian Rhapsody. He cited a "gravely ill parent", and whilst admitting to creative differences at times with Rami Malek, "Rami and I successfully put those differences behind us and continued to work on the film together until just prior to Thanksgiving". Now, though, Fox has confirmed that Singer has been taken off the project altogether. "This was not my decision and it was beyond my control".
Meanwhile, 20th Century Fox is hoping to keep its high-profile Queen biopic on track for a December 2018 release, and insiders claim that the studio has already begun casting the net in search of a replacement. Early reports suggested that Singer hadn't given any reason for his disappearances, not that he had petitioned for some time off to tend to family concerns, drawing into serious speculation what, if anything, he divulged to his bosses at Fox. The 3-year first look deal that Singer's production company Bad Hat Harry had with Fox has also not been renewed, and the company's offices on the Fox lot are reportedly being packed up. His prolonged absences then forced the film's cinematographer Thomas Newton Sigel to take over directorial responsibilities for the time.
There is no denying that the most critical centerpiece in any biopic related to Queen is the late Freddie Mercury.
Dwayne Johnson's Fans Celebrate His Hollywood Star In The Sweetest Way
Variety reports that Johnson will be honored with a star on the legendary Hollywood street landmark. He joins Vince McMahon as the two WWE-related names with stars on the Walk of Fame .
What do you think about Bryan Singer's statement? The director, meanwhile, says that he did not act unprofessionally and that he needed time off from the London-based project to return home to be with his family during a hard time.
A source also said that Tom Hollander, who plays Jim Beach, departed the film due to Singer's behavior, but was persuaded to return. Bryan Singer is, perhaps, most known for producing and directing the X-Men series.
