Wildfires Are Burning Down Rupert Murdoch's Los Angeles Home

On Wednesday, former Hillary Clinton advisor Neera Tanden deleted a tweet mocking 21st Century Fox Chairman Rupert Murdoch - whose house was said to be burning down in the California wildfires.

Murdoch's Moraga Bel Air winery issued a statement on Twitter Wednesday saying, "We are watching the situation unfold very carefully along with everyone else". Later, the Los Angeles Times reported that the fire had grown near Murdoch's estate, but had not burned the property's buildings or vineyard. "Our main concern at the moment is for the safety of our neighbors and first respoders".

A Moraga employee whom Variety reached by phone "said that all employees had been evacuated, but could not confirm whether the property or its facilities had been directly impacted by the fire". Bloomberg reported that the property is within the current evacuation zone, and NBC is reporting that it has caught fire. Over 200,000 residents in California were ordered to evacuate so far and the wildfires have been ongoing.
