The BlackBerry smartphone has lost Priv technical support

Add that BlackBerry owners Priv'll still be able to rely on a warranty fix - this component support anybody did not cancel, plus, if the firmware of the smartphone will found a very serious vulnerability, the patch for it will be released in the shortest possible time.

It has been a couple years since BlackBerry announced its first Android-powered handset, the PRIV. While we don't know anything else about this service just yet, it could be a good way for BlackBerry to keep customers coming back to its products, and reward loyal fans.

The PRIV has now passed the 24 month-mark and BlackBerry has confirmed that it will no longer be issuing monthly security updates. BlackBerry launched the Priv in India in early 2016 at a ridiculously high price of Rs 62,990. The BlackBerry Priv offers an all plastic unibody solution with a 2K OLED 5.4-inch touch display protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. The phone packed in an 18-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture lens and Schneider-Kreuznach optics. At that time, the company promised that it would update the phone for two years, though it was pretty confident in its ability to lockdown insecure parts of the operating system. There was also a 2-megapixel camera on the front.
