KITTY PRYDE Film In Development With DEADPOOL Director

A Kitty Pryde movie is in development at Fox from Deadpool's Tim Miller. Even so, we're sure X-Men fans will be happy to know that Miller is clearly interested. Kitty Pryde is one of the original X-Men and is certainly a beloved character that would do well in a feature film. This year alone has a proper X-Men sequel, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and two X-spinoffs, Deadpool 2 and New Mutants, scheduled for release. Also of note, Kitty Pryde may well become the studio's first female-led spinoff since Elektra.

Kitty Pryde also is an intriguing choice for a film.

The firm also previewed a host of touchscreen Assistant devices that have ...erm... echoes of the Amazon Echo Show . This year, Google is determined to make CES attendees - and the world - forget about Alexa .

Obviously, there's no word on what Miller's vision might be for a Kitty Pryde movie, nor is there any indication who might play the titular role. Most recently, Ellen Page played the character in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

It is hard to imagine any comic movie getting off the ground from Fox in the near future given the nature of their deal with Disney, but here we are.

At the time, Kate went out with family and friends to take in a Cirque du Soleil performance of Kooza at the Royal Albert Hall. This year will be a busy one for Kate as she is due to give birth to her and Wills' third child in April.

Currently, Miller is looking to develop the film at 20th Century Fox, which is home to many of Marvel's current X-Men entities including X-Force, Wolverine, The New Mutants, and of course, Deadpool. It is unclear whether the Oscar nominated actress would be asked to reprise her role in a potential Kitty Pryde movie, but given her popularity with fans, it is not inconceivable, although Miller already recast (the far less renowned) Colossus role in Deadpool. For the uninitiated, Shadowcat is known for her ability to "phase", essentially allowing her to pass through solid objects and disrupt electromagnetic fields - much to the bemusement of Vinnie Jones' Juggernaut.
