It has not been smooth sail for both Android Pay and Google Wallet in recent months-the competition from other digital payment providers has been tough. When it arrives, however, it may not be LG Pay, but rather LG Wallet, in something of an unusual twist from established norms. Currently, the service of the LG Pay is available only in South Korea, the home country of LG and expected t expand to more countries. There is no clarification on whether Tez will be rebranded to Google Pay or not. Android Pay was supposed to launch here at some point of time but then Google chose to launch a market-specific app called Tez here instead. With the new branding, the Mountain View giant is apparently looking to streamline operations, much like Apple and Samsung are attempting with their respective Apple Pay and Samsung Pay platforms.
