Selectors have Glenn Maxwell as a replacement for the injured Chris Lynn for the upcoming on day global series against England.

The 34-year old's call-up comes after a relatively good domestic season where he is now the second highest run-scorer in the BBL and years of vast experience leading his domestic side, something to which Trevor Hohns, the Australian national selector, pointed out to their choice.

"In the back of my mind I never really gave up all hope".

Australia ODI squad: Steve Smith (Captain), David Warner (VC), Pat Cummins, Aaron Finch, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Tim Paine, Jhye Richardson, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Andrew Tye, Cameron White, Adam Zampa.

Buffalo Bills: Playoff magic runs out early as Bills fall to Jaguars
But having now completed his seventh National Football League season and third as Buffalo's starter, Taylor is not changing. The teams punted a total of 17 times in a field-position stalemate, each starting five drives inside its 20-yard line.

Glenn Maxwell is on the outer. White, who plays for Melbourne Renegades, has scored 285 runs this season at 142.5.

He debuted for Australia in 2005 and has played 88 one-day internationals, in addition to four Tests and 47 Twenty20 internationals. He is delighted at the prospect of donning the Australian colours again.

Having been dropped before the 2015 World Cup, White returns to the side with planning already well-advanced for the 2019 edition.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity and it's up to me to make the most of it".

"Making a few runs in the Big Bash hasn't hurt", he quipped. He had smashed 457 runs from 7 innings at 76.16 and his strike rate nearly touched 100. He might be asked by the Australian management to bat at No. 4.

Cameron White last played an ODI for Australia in January 2015, during the triangular series against England and India. "All I know so far is I've walked into the team hotel, grabbed a t-shirt and a cap and I'm speaking to you guys".

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old White said he was surprised to be back in the squad after several years despite strong performances domestically.
