During the last PSLV launch we had problems, today what has happened proves that the problem was properly addressed and rectified.

The flight on Friday is the first since a rare mission failure on August 31 a year ago when a PSLV rocket did not release a protective heat shield that cocoons a rocket's satellite payloads from the high temperatures during the journey into space.

India launched its 100th indigenously made satellite yesterday, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeks to project the country as a global low-priced provider of services in space.

This PSLV-C40 launched 31 satellites, including 710kg Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation and 30 co-passenger satellites together weighing about 613kg at lift-off.

Isro's Cartosat constellation consists of a series of satellites in sun-synchronous orbit making panchromatic and multispectral images of the Earth's surface.

The mission control had fired the engines to restart the fourth stage for lowering the rocket to deploy the micro satellite in its intended orbit. "It launched 31 satellites, including three Indian and 28 commercial satellites". "After that we had a rigorous set of operations to ensure a robust launch and it was resolved for a successful launch now", Isro chairman Kiran Kumar said. Indian Nanosatellite 1C (INS-1C) is an 11-kilogram (25 lb) spacecraft which carries the Miniature Multispectral Technology Demonstration (MMX-TD) experiment, an imaging payload for ISRO's Space Applications Centre that will be used for mapping, vegetation monitoring and studies of aerosols and clouds in the atmosphere.

Frozen Embryos Aren't Always Necessary for IVF, New Studies Show
But the study suggests it may not increase the chances of a live birth compared to fresh embryos in the study population. Two studies recently published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine attempted to answer that question.

"The performance of the launch vehicle was very impressive and followed its intended path perfectly", said the newly appointed ISRO chief K. Sivan.

"It was a ideal launch, the analysis was done and all satellites are appropriately placed", said LPSC director after the successful launch of PSLV-C40.

Along with Cartosat-2, the seventh of its kind, two Indian satellites and 28 from six countries were placed, including the United States, France, Finland and South Korea.
