The last performance of Liverpool, England's famous International Horse Show on December 31 had to be canceled because of a blaze in the multi-story carpark next to Echo Arena.

There are still no reports of any injuries and no animals were hurt.

The fire, which was hot enough to melt aluminium, engulfed seven floors of the multi-storey vehicle park on the city's waterfront. An accidental fire in one auto which spread to other vehicles is believed to have been the cause, according to police.

In a statement issued on New Year's Day, the Echo Arena team said: "We are continuing to work with the emergency services who have worked tirelessly throughout the night to bring the fire under control".

"MFRS received support from brigades from the NW region through the early hours". Despite the damage, an arena spokesperson confirmed all people and horses are safe and that "there were no injuries during this bad incident".

The area was evacuated along with some nearby apartments due to the smoke. "It looked like a ball of fire on the front of the vehicle and it was producing a lot of smoke".

Arsenal 2 - 2 Chelsea
But it would be Bellerin who had the final say in the dying seconds as he bagged a late leveller to earn a share of the spoils. Arsenal's defense was again inconsistent as the second half began, and Cech had to step in and save a couple Chelsea shots.

He said: "At around 5pm, the announcer told us that that there was fire in the vehicle park next door".

Ash and chunks of concrete carpet the floor in the ACC vehicle park after the fire.

"He said, 'What level is your auto on?' We said six". All the horses were safe.

Writing to the government, Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson urged Minister Nick Hurd, with responsibility for fire services, to re-evaluate current building regulations in an attempt to ensure something like this does not happen again, including the provision of sprinklers. "I think most people made a decision to go home".
