Salman Khan rushed home after death threats in Jodhpur?

Days after Bollywood superstar Salman Khan received death threats from Rajasthan gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, armed men reportedly landed at Salman's next film "Race 3" sets at Film City, Mumbai. The actor has been shuffling between the shooting schedules for Race 3 and Bigg Boss 11 over the past few weeks.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Lawrence Bishnoi is a part of a community in Rajasthan that worships black bucks. On Monday, a senior officer informed the Superstar that three men in Mumbai wanted to kill him when at the same time a group of vandals was creating ruckus near the location where Salman was shooting. Salman was then reportedly safely escorted by the policemen to his residence in Bandra. Police reached the sets and informed Salman and producer Ramesh Taurani of the impending threat to the star's life, and then escorted the star safely to the auto, with 6 cops to protect him, and his vehicle was driven by another batch of policemen. The actor was accused of poaching in the year 1998 and since then has been involved in the ongoing case.

The police arrived at the "Race 3" set in Film City and told Salman and producer Ramesh Taurani that the shoot needs to be stopped immediately and the actor needs to head home as soon as possible. "We are also investigating the motive behind Bishnoi's threat to Salman", he added.

While the police are taking the threats seriously, security has been beefed up at the film set as well. "But Salman has a good team of security personnel". To stabilise the situation, the actor has been given maximum police protection. Producer Ramesh Taurani has revealed to a leading daily that they have hired additional guards and bouncers for the safety of the actor.
