Trump advisor refuses to leave CNN set

In an explosive new book by journalist Michael Wolff, former White House chief strategist Steven Bannon suggested there was "zero" chance Trump Jr. didn't take the Russians to meet his father.

While many panned Miller's CNN fight with Tapper, he did have one very big fan in his corner, President Donald Trump.

During a Monday appearance on Fox News with Tucker Carlson, Miller said that CNN's claims that he was escorted from the set after ignoring requests to leave were "not true". Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Senior policy adviser Stephen Miller speaks to "Face the Nation" on February 12, 2017. "Do you think if you have been, I don't know, a member of MS-13 here illegally, that CNN would have had security pull you off set?"

Jake Tapper: Why's that snide? I'll tell you why I'm attacking you.

TAPPER: I get it.

Is Donald Trump unstable and unfit for the office of President?

"There's one viewer you care about right now, and you're being obsequious", said Tapper.

At least as of July, Bannon told me, during my interviews with him for my book, Bannon: Always the Rebel, that he and Miller were close and that they continued to think exactly alike.

In a tweet following the exchange, Trump said Tapper was "destroyed" in the interview.

Stephen Miller: Hey, Jake. He proceeded to talk about Trump's ability to tap into a phenomenon that was overlooked by the political establishment, who he referred to as "so-called" geniuses.

PM interacts with economists, experts

Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations, said she visits the White House once a week, and "no one questions the stability of the president". It's hard to say whether the edited interview or the original is more confrontational - or even more amusing, for that matter. Now, this is a story, here, that's been reported by multiple outlets. But, really, we are against people who don't tell the truth. So, probably, unlikely that Stephen Miller is going to be invited back on to Jake Tapper's program.

"I've got to give the President of the United States a lot of credit". CNN is a familiar target for Trump and Miller, with each having publicly sparred with the network's star chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta.

"That's why they don't put you on TV", Tapper said.

"I've wasted enough of my viewers' time", the CNN host said.

"You should be ashamed of yourself, honestly", Miller said.
