China's trade with North Korea plunges as sanctions tighten

On Friday, China reported a 50 percent decrease in trade with North Korea in December, according to news reports, indicating the effect of recent United Nations sanctions against the regime.

"The meeting will bring together nations from across the globe to demonstrate global solidarity against 's risky and illegal nuclear and ballistic missile programs", the department said in a statement Thursday.

He also said China and Russian Federation, which have not been invited, will be briefed on the discussions after the meeting.
