Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain talks about Philippe Coutinho's transfer

Jurgen Klopp has explained how he made the "final decision" to sell Philippe Coutinho this month, with Liverpool's owners backing his choice either way. We had fantastic games with him and not so good games with him.

"We don't have to think about unpredictability immediately against Manchester City, we have to think about work, but in general there is always opportunity in a situation like this", said an optimistic Klopp. He might have reacted slowly at times in the market but has always picked up his preferred options rather than some compromised signings. We know he will help bring energy to Liverpool's midfield and that he is often the catalyst for Klopp's famous gegenpress, but he also needs to contribute goals because very few of the other midfielders look like they can.

The January transfer window is now open so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. If you don't miss a person then there would have been something wrong when you were together.

"If the club said after the first call "good idea, we wanted to call you actually because we don't want to have him" then it would be different", he told reporters on Friday.

It is negative, as 13 investors sold Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corporation shares while 53 reduced holdings. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PEI ) has declined 47.73% since January 13, 2017 and is downtrending.

The loss of Coutinho, while significant, should not really harm Liverpool too much this weekend.

The chance to play with Klopp, even if it meant more time on the training field than the player would have liked, was one of the main things that drew Oxlade-Chamberlain to the club, and he's glad that it paid off.

On Keita, the Liverpool manager continued: "There's nothing to say about it".

Liverpool rejected three Barcelona bids and a transfer request from the player during last summer's transfer window, but Klopp conceded they could no longer keep the player against his will.

"I said at the beginning of the season he can be the new Coutinho - obviously I did not know that Coutinho was going to leave". You lose a player, you buy a player.

'We don't have to replace him.

Liverpool is undefeated in its last 17 games across all competitions, while Premier League leader City has won 20 and drawn the other two of its top-flight matches this season.

Liverpool will not be signing prospective Philippe Coutinho replacements Riyad Mahrez or Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window, according to Alan Shearer.
