Oscars: "Shape of Water" Leads With 13 Nominations

Nominations for the 90th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday morning amid a competitive awards season.

Far from being awarded, for many actors, directors and films, being nominated by the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for an Oscar in itself is a big honour.

At 5:22 am PST (1:22 pm GMT), the nominees will be announced in the following categories (listed here in no particular order): Cinematography, Costume Design, Film Editing, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Production Design, Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and Visual Effects. Darkest Hour, I, Tonya, The Florida Project, Mudbound, Wonder Woman, and Molly's Game haven't done quite enough to launch them into favorite status, but they've all won enough to remain in the conversation.
