Knee will sideline Duke's Marvin Bagley III for second straight game

The Blue Devils outscored the Hokies 34-28 in the final 20:00 minutes of play.

"It also puts Trevon inside where we can get side penetration", Coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "That was 40 minutes of good basketball".

Miami had won five of its previous six outings before the road loss to Boston College and had won all three games since losing its No. 2 scorer and top rebounder, guard Bruce Brown, to a foot injury. It will be Virginia Tech's third consecutive road game. Grayson Allen had 25 points for Duke, and he was 7-of-15 from three-point range. But Duke would have none of that Wednesday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Hokies were led by guard Justin Bibbs, who scored 15 points on 6-7 shooting. Even with the disparity in fouls, the Hokies didn't respond well to Duke's run in the early stages of the second half. "Coach said, shoot as many shots as you have to shoot because you're going to be open".

Leicester boss Puel: Mahrez explanation important to squad
This comes after City failed to land the Leicester City player before the close of the transfer window last night. But we want to get as far as we can in the cup and it will be a strong team".

Not only did the Hokies upset Virginia but despite the loss, the Cavaliers still jumped to the top spot in the rankings. What was surprising was that he only had four. Duke used their superior size to outrebound Tech 36-19.

The biggest question heading into Duke's game against Virginia Tech was whether Duke freshman Marvin Bagley III would be available to play Wednesday night. Defensively, Duke basketball yields 72.6 points per game against the opposing teams. Now, without its best player, Duke has found a way to be successful.

Duke did, in fact, more than double the Hokies shooting the trey ball.

Freshman forward Wendell Carter Jr., in Bagley's absence, was phenomenal. The 16 points are the least Miami has scored in a half this season. He converted on a few of them.

Sadio Mane hat-trick helps Liverpool crush Porto in UEFA Champions League
Liverpool took total control of the tie just four minutes later as Salah scored in style. The 5-0 win in Porto - assisted by Sadio Mane's hat-trick - even had John W.

Those two combined to hit 12 of 24 3-pointers, burying Tech in a barrage of big shots while the Blue Devils predictably bullied their opponent on the boards.

Senior captain Grayson Allen and his teammates answered the bell, coming out of the halftime locker room with energy that hasn't been seen a lot this season. Miami, conversely, is more of a high-flying team that seems to do better as the scoring mounts.

The Cavaliers will now get a long break from competition until they're back in action against Georgia Tech in Charlottesville Feb. 21.

The team did just that, taking advantage of its hot streak to pull away from the Hokies and saving Duke fans everywhere from the stress of a last-minute comeback.
