Moto Z2 Force: Motorola's 'ShatterShield' technology explained

It has arrived in India almost eight months after its official announcement. This is supposed to offer up to seven hours of battery life within 15 minutes of charging the phone.

First of all, Moto Z2 Force Limited Edition boasts of a shatterproof display powered by the ShatterShield technology, which means it is relatively safe from drops. Later, it will be also available at Motorola's other offline retailing partners. The fingerprint sensor is integrated in the oblong-shaped home button at the front.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch QHD ShatterShield POLED display with a 1440x2560 pixels resolution.

It may be an old device with a 16:9 display, while nearly all the handsets today have progressed to screens with the 18:9 aspect ratio, but it is still worth the money for more reasons than one.

Also it's thinner, modular and looks so much better. For selfies, there is a mere 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash.

Motorola has released new MotoMods accessories for the smartphone. The Moto Z2 Force joins the company's lineup of smartphones such as Moto Z2 Play, Moto X4, Moto G5S Plus, said Telecom Talk report.

Connectivity options are - Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, Moto Mods, and Type-C USB. There is no 3.5mm audio jack on the phone.
