Rahul to unveil his vision for Congress at plenary session

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will unveil a revamped party at the AICC plenary session to be held in Delhi from March 16 to 18, and sound the bugle for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

The session, which is likely to ratify Rahul Gandhi's elevation as president of the party, may pave the way for the selection of the members of the new Working Committee of the party.

Sources said that the Congress organisational structure already has provisions for 33 per cent of posts being reserved for women and 20 per cent for Scheduled Castes. The comment from AICC led to further speculation if Rahul will call for elections to CWC, an idea that he has shared with party leaders in the past years.

However, since Parliament would be in session, it was felt that Delhi would be a convenient venue to host the plenary.
