WWE is trying to sign Rob Gronkowski

Rawley reportedly just re-signed with the WWE.

If Rob Gronkowski decides not to play football again, he appears to have another option.

Gronkowski, who turns 29 in May, is still near the top of his game but has battled several significant injuries throughout his career, including to his back, left forearm and right knee.

Gronkowski has already made several appearances for the WWE, most notably a year ago at WrestleMania 33 when he interfered in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal to help Rawley win the match by taking down Jinder Mahal in the ring.

Rousey made her wrestling debut at last month's Royal Rumble pay-per-view and is touted to have a leading storyline in the build-up to Wrestlemania, WWE's flagship event, before becoming a full-time wrestler.

Speculation has been that Gronk might be entertaining a future in WWE, as he is no stranger to a wrestling ring, involving himself in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal match at WrestleMania 33, and he is good friends with WWE Smackdown Live star Mojo Rawley. Come on now" but was also quick to add "I don't know. "Whatever he wants to do".

Will we see Gronk in the squared circle sooner rather than later?

Gronk's decision to flirt with retirement is understandable, despite him being widely-regarded as one of the best at his position in the history of NFL.

After the Super Bowl, Gronk wasn't sure if he is ready to commit to another NFL.When asked about the possibility of retiring from football following New England's Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Gronkowski said, "I'm definitely gonna look at my future".

Gronk has made a bunch of money in his career.

At 28, Gronkowski is one of the NFL's highest paid players, but has been linked with roles in Hollywood over the past year. If he were to retire, the Patriots would certainly lose one of their most important players and the National Football League would lose a near-certain Hall of Famer.
