It's one small step for My Nintendo kind, but at least there's something to use Gold Points on now instead of discounts for games you probably already own and earned points for. For physical software, you earn points by registering the title via the home menu. Unfortunately, the deal applies only to games for the Switch, so Wii U and 3DS games, as well as in-game items or virtual currencies, are not part of the new program. And that subscriptions, passes, in-game items, virtual currency, or downloadable content on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will not reward you with Gold Points. 1 Gold Point amounts to 1 cent.
