Former WWE star CM Punk (real name Phil Brooks) had been expected to get back in the octagon sometime this year.

The UFC has not announced a fight for Punk, but president Dana White previously has said he intends to give the 39-year-old "another shot". He responded with, "June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my attractive wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team". After the ECW experiment ended, Punk's career took off as he would win a total of five world championships, including a 434-day reign with the WWE Championship in 2011.

And now, Damon and Affleck are doing the same for projects from their Pearl Street Films. The Twitter post by Cox DiGiovanni praised Jordan's move.

After a standout career as a professional wrestler, Punk made his debut with the Las Vegas-based promotion at UFC 203, where he was soundly defeated by Mickey Gall via first-round submission on September 10, 2016. Punk has no amateur MMA experience to speak of and he does train with Roufusport out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

For those unaware, UFC 225 will take place at the United Center in Chicago. On social media Monday, Punk strongly hinted that he'd be fighting at the event when asked about his next appearance by a fan.

Tillerson was also often out of step with Trump on foreign policy, most notably with issues involving North Korea. But the White House distanced itself from those remarks , and a few days later, Mr Tillerson himself backed off.

Jackson has not fought since losing to Gall in February 2016, which was his only professional MMA fight to date. No word yet on Punk's opponent but it was reported a few weeks ago that Punk may be facing Mike Jackson, who also has a record of 0-1. While having a hometown favourite with tremendous mainstream exposure on a UFC main card makes sense, the UFC has not yet confirmed that Punk will indeed be fighting at UFC 225.

Bears expected to retain top 3 RFAs with $1.9M tenders
However, if the Bears choose not to match an offer sheet for Meredith, Bellamy or Callahan, they would receive no compensation. This likely wasn't a "bid against themselves" situation like the Bears found themselves in with Mike Glennon last season.
