Former rapper Craig Mack dies in South Carolina

Craig Mack, the '90s rap star who helped put Diddy's Bad Boy Records on the map, died at his home in SC of natural causes.

Alvin Toney, Mack's producer on his Project: Funk Da World and Get Down Remix albums, confirmed the news in a statement to The New York Daily News, which reports Mack died on Monday from heart failure while in a SC hospital.

Following Mack's death, the rapper Erick Sermon tweeted: "I'm devastated. we just finishing up his new album". I can not believe this dude is gone. Because Craig was my roadie on tour. He would set up & break down my turntables every night...
