National Football League free agency 2018: Buffalo Bills interested in Sam Bradford, Case Keenum

Bradford, 30, began the 2017 season as the Vikings quarterback, but a knee injury felled him after Week 1, and he didn't start another game until Week 5.

The first few major dominoes have fallen in free agency with the biggest being Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins reportedly deciding to sign a three-year, fully-guaranteed deal with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Cardinals are set to sign former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford, according to multiple reports Tuesday.

Bradford was sharp in Week 1 against the Saints, completing 27-of-32 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns, but would miss the next three games because of a knee injury. And reported that Teddy Bridgewater will sign with the New York Jets.

It will supposedly have protection for the team in case of injury. In his first season with the Vikings, he completed almost 70 percent of his passes, had 20 touchdown and only five interceptions. In seven National Football League seasons played, Bradford has registered 19,049 passing yards, a 62.5 percent completion percentage, 101 touchdowns, 57 interceptions, and a passer rating of 85.1.

Bradford played in just two games for the Minnesota Vikings previous year as he battled a knee injury, and he spent some time on injured reserve. The Cardinals had a vital need at quarterback after Carson Palmer's retirement.

However, if the Bears choose not to match an offer sheet for Meredith, Bellamy or Callahan, they would receive no compensation. This likely wasn't a "bid against themselves" situation like the Bears found themselves in with Mike Glennon last season.
