Bills trade Glenn, move up in draft

According to, the Bengals have pulled off a trade with the Bills that will send left tackle Cordy Glenn to Cincinnati.

The trade, reported by multiple outlets, will also see the Bills swap their first-round pick (No. 21 overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft for the Bengals' first-round selection at No. 12.

The trade means that the Bengals will now be on the hook for what's left of Glenn's five-year, $60 million deal that he signed back in May 2016.

Ex-Pat Butler to join Titans for $61M
Butler is coming off a season in which he finished with two interceptions, three forced fumbles, a sack and 60 combined tackles. He started 15 of 16 games in New England, but did not play a single down in the team's Super Bowl loss to the Eagles.

Glenn has been a Bills starter since his rookie season in 2012.

2015 first-round pick Cedric Ogbuehi hasn't progressed as expected, while Clint Boling is more suited to guard than tackle, despite his strong performance at tackle toward the end of the 2017 season. On Friday, Buffalo traded starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor to Cleveland for a third-round pick.

This trade makes sense for the Bills in more than one way, with the team determined to get a top quarterback of the future in the upcoming draft and wanting to do away with Glenn's contract.

Sealing drive: All-party delegation to meet SC panel, says Congress
The deputy chief minister said it was decided that both AAP and the Congress would raise the matter in Parliament. Over seven lakh traders would be participating in the protest, said the statement issued by CAIT.

But the biggest bonus from this trade is the 12th overall pick in the upcoming draft, a pick the Bills may not still hold on draft day. If the teams finalize the deal by Sunday, the Bills will save $4.85 million against the 2018 cap, according to the Buffalo News .

On a day in which many were focused on National Football League free agency tampering beginning, the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals were hard at work in building their own futures.

"Somewhat of a frustrating year overall", Bills coach Sean McDermott said in December, adding Glenn would undergo surgery on his foot in hopes of returning to health this offseason. Beane has made six trades in the previous year and is reshaping the entire franchise while also racking up draft picks.
