Fantastic Beasts 2 trailer: Potterheads gear up for another whimsical journey


The "Crimes of Grindelwald" trailer was the first to show Hogwarts as part of the "Fantastic Beasts" story, which centers around Newt Scamander, a "magizoologist" with a suitcase full of unusual creatures.

The trailer for the ninth film in the extended Harry Potter universe, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald takes writer J.K. Rowling's fans to familiar locales, the main one being Hogwarts.

And now we are treated to Jude Law, as Albus Dumbledore.

The last participant to perform on Tuesday was Amber Sauer , who impressed Kelly with her rendition of Ed Sheeran's Shape of You . Skipper now lives in Nashville, Tenn., but spent her high school years in the State College Area School District.

The end of the trailer also has a moment of pure fan service, but this needs to be watched, not read.

But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

The film is the second of five adventures - which has been penned by Rowling - follows on from the end of the first film, which was released back in 2016.

The teaser hints at the beginning of the Global Wizarding War surrounding Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) and Newt Scamander's (Eddie Redmayne) role in the rising conflict that eventually leads to the showdown between Grindelwald and Dumbledore.

Now the first trailer for the upcoming film has been released and fans finally get to see Jude Law portraying Hogwarts headteacher Albus Dumbledore in action. We see characters from the first film return - Katherine Waterston returns as Tina, Dan Fogler as Jacob, Ezra Miller as Credence and Alison Sudol as Queenie. Later in the trailer, he meets Newt on the roof of St. Paul's Cathedral in London and says: "I can't move against Grindelwald".

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald began principal photography past year and will open in theaters on November 16, 2018.
