The blizzard warning means sustained winds of greater than 35 miles per hour along with visibility of less than a quarter mile for prolonged periods, according to the weather service. Bangor also could get between 12 and 18 inches, while northern Aroostook County is expected to get between 6 and 12 inches. The wind will gust up to 33 miles per hour.
In Massachusetts, over 3,400 snow crews are out to clear messy roads.
