President Donald Trump is considering replacing embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin with Energy Secretary Rick Perry.

White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins reports that the cabinet shakeup was discussed by Trump and Perry at lunch yesterday. Iraq lifts ban on global flights to Kurdish airports
It is not clear if the autonomous region will maintain its independent visa system after the blockade ends . Iraq's Kurds overwhelmingly backed independence from federal Iraq in the September 25 vote.

Then last week, Missal issued another damning report charging that "serious leadership failures" resulted in conditions at the Washington, D.C., Medical Center, a flagship hospital in the VA's system, that put patients at risk.

Shulkin, who has been telling the media that Trump political appointees in the Department of Veterans Affairs are trying to undermine him, was reportedly told by Kelly to stop fighting with staff and talking with the media.

An Energy Department spokeswoman, asked about reports Perry is being considered to replace Shulkin, said: "I have no comment at this time". And all that happened amid an internal push to oust Shulkin by members of the Veterans Affairs Department. Shulkin was found in an inspector general's report to have violated ethics rules by using taxpayer money to subsidize his wife's $4,300 flight to Europe a year ago and improperly accepting tickets to the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London. He was the only holdover from the previous administration after Trump tapped him as the new VA secretary.

BuzzFeed had reported that Trump's lawyers were considering seeking an injunction to stop it. Daniels is also now hoping that returning the money could allow her to end her silence.

However, Kelly was reportedly blindsided when Shulkin later spoke with The New York Times about the issues within the VA. In fact, Shulkin has moved to fire these Trump appointees before Kelly shut them down.
