Vikings expected to land free agent Kirk Cousins

Cousins is talking with the Vikings over a three-year deal at $28m per season, with reports that the entire salary will come in guaranteed money. It's unclear what he can offer the Jets under center. Mike Zimmer has to be happy with the teams aggressiveness already this offseason in their pursuit of Cousins, but adding a corner like Williams would be yet another step towards winning a championship. That shatters the average annual value of $28 million the Vikings are offering. Minnesota doesn't necessarily "need" a cornerback, but adding a playmaker like Williams would certainly make their defense more risky.

KUSA -Case Keenum, who is coming off a magical, out-of-nowhere season with the Minnesota Vikings, is about to become the Denver Broncos' new quarterback.

Cousins will have plenty to work with in Minnesota, including standout wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Adam Theilen, running back Dalvin Cook and tight end Kyle Rudolph.

Time Warner Inc New (NYSE:TWX) Short Interest Decreased By 7.86%
Brandywine Global Invest Mngmt Limited Liability Co stated it has 0.7% in Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX) for 5,084 shares. Telsey Advisory Group initiated the shares of TWX in report on Friday, February 5 with "Outperform" rating.

That is a hefty price, if you ask me, since Keenum was successful for the very reason that those star players around him played so well last season. Following the combine, Minnesota was presumed to be the favorite to land the free-agent quarterback this year. 2016 was arguably his best season, with him throwing for nearly 5,000 yards and getting named to the Pro Bowl.

In three years as the starter in Washington, Cousins threw for 13,176 yards, 81 touchdowns and 36 interceptions while completing 67 percent of his passes. They no longer have to select a quarterback for need in the first round.

With the understanding that the Vikings' QB decision - and specifically where Kirk Cousins is going to wind up - is dominating the hearts and minds of tons of Vikings fans, I'm going to attempt to round up all the pertinent information as we know it right now.

Ex-Pat Butler to join Titans for $61M
Butler is coming off a season in which he finished with two interceptions, three forced fumbles, a sack and 60 combined tackles. He started 15 of 16 games in New England, but did not play a single down in the team's Super Bowl loss to the Eagles.

And while Bridgewater would be given an opportunity to start and revive his career, the Jets are expected to bring in competition via the draft.

Cousins, has been one of the NFL's most productive quarterbacks since becoming the Redskins' full-time starter three years ago. Such a deal is the first of its kind in NFL history and will make Cousins the highest paid quarterback in the league barely over a month after the 49ers gave that distinction to their quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo.

With an abundance of promising arms slated to go in the first round in the form of USC's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen, Wyoming's Josh Allen, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and Louisville's Lamar Jackson, the Jets will likely be able to select a passer with their top-10 pick.
