AIIMS doctors killed, 4 injured in accident on Yamuna Expressway near Mathura

In a horrific incident, India's top medical institute, AIIMS' three out of seven doctors, have been instantaneously killed while four others of the same institute were critically injured after their auto crashed into a mini truck on the way to Agra on early hours of March 18, 2018. "There were seven people in the vehicle out of which three died at the spot". In this accident, 3 doctors of AIIMS died on the spot, while 4 other doctors were reported to be critically injured.

According to Shukla, Dr Abhinava Singh (Bihar), Dr Cathreen Halam (Tripura), Dr Mahesh Kumar (Bihar) and Dr Jitendra Maurya (Madhya Pradesh) were later rushed to the AIIMS.

Yamuna Expressway is notorious for accidents.

Abrahams said the director of public prosecutions in KwaZulu-Natal will facilitate the process for Zuma to appear in court. The former South African leader was beset by scandal during his tenure as president.

It is learnt that these seven doctors had left Delhi at midnight to celebrate the birthday of Dr Wankhade, a senior resident at AIIMS.

He said it wasn't clear who the SUV belonged to.

The injured were immediately shifted to the Niyati Hospital and the bodies to the district hospital, a police officer said. The driver was also injured and admitted to AIIMS.

Residents Still Evacuated From 3300-Acre Fire
Evacuations remain in an area roughly bounded by I-25, Military Reservation Boundary Road, Donner Pass View and County Line Road. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says residents may go to the center for resources, fire information and other assistance.

The Yamuna Expressway is one of India's deadliest roads.

According to doctors in the AIIMS, all the four injured are stable. "The situation was no better in 2017 and the statistics available for first half of year say 763 accidents took place causing 78 deaths", added Jain on the basis of an RTI reply. This accidents have increased by about 30 percent in 2016 due to this expressway compared to 2015.

Although the expressway is elaborately equipped with CCTV cameras and speed cameras, erring drivers are seldom brought to heel.

Lalu at RIMS, verdict deferred
Prasad's counsel said he had filed the petition yesterday and re-submitted it today after correcting some typographical mistakes. The fifth case related to fradulent withdrawal of Rs 139 crore from treasury of Doranda in Ranchi is pending with the court.
