Adityanath government's first year: BJP claims historic, opposition says pathetic

Adityanath, who completes one year in office tomorrow as the UP chief minister, claimed he had changed the image of the state from one of anarchy and chaos to that of all-round development and security.

The function, which was held in Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, saw a massive gathering of ministers, MLAs and other BJP party cadres. On the occasion, the chief minister released a booklet titled Ek Saal, Nai Misaal (One Year, New Examples), which highlighted various achievements of the Adityanath government in the past one year.

The BJP chief said that voter turnout was low and at the same time, the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) came together.

Adityanath was also asked if he'd talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah after the BJP's defeat.
