President Trump signed bill Wednesday meant to permit victims of sex trafficking to sue online platforms that knowingly facilitated the trafficking.

Penny Nance, CEO and president of Concerned Women for America, applauds the commander in chief for supporting the biggest anti-sex trafficking bill since the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2003. It says, "Websites that promote and facilitate prostitution have been reckless in allowing the sale of sex trafficking victims and have done nothing to prevent the trafficking of children and victims of force, fraud, and coercion".

The 93-count indictment announced by the Justice Department Monday against seven people associated with major trafficking platform Backpage.com, Wagner said, was a "huge victory" for victims. This bill provides law enforcement and prosecutors the tools they need to seek justice for trafficking victims and hold websites that knowingly facilitate these crimes accountable.
